Dr. Sorcha MacLeod is an esteemed Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. Her research interests center around human rights and international humanitarian law, particularly in the context of private military and security companies (PMSCs).

As Principal Investigator of the MERCURY project at CEPRI, the Centre for Private Governance, Dr. MacLeod delves into the human rights impacts and regulation of PMSCs. Her work seeks to understand the complex challenges and potential solutions surrounding these entities operating in conflict and post-conflict environments.
